This remarkable house is situated in North Devon, overlooking the stunning beach at Woolacombe Bay and with spectacular views out to Lundy Island. The dwelling subtlety lies in its hilltop location, siting in a landscape of rolling hills and wooded valleys. It is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the house reflects this.

As the guests approach the house they see a beautiful wall of Shou Sugi Ban (burnt Japanese wood), with the front door concealed within this facade. As you enter the building you get a glimpse of the incredible views and as you move down the levels to the open-plan living areas; the beauty of this location and interior become fully apparent.

The magnificent views to the sea are best enjoyed from the super comfy indoor and outdoor seating area's or the cedar-clad hottub, all perfectly positioned to become transfixed at the intoxicating landscape, waiting for another wonderful sunset.

The kitchen lies in the middle of the house. It has every modern convenience, and over-looks the living area with it's huge dining room table and the spectacular bar. The dining area and main living area are divided by a bespoke suspended fireplace, perfect to gather round and enjoy the views.

Each of the four luxurious bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom and also take advantage of the amazing views, with full height windows over-looking the magnificent valley opposite. Bedrooms 1, 2 and 3 all have Super King Sized beds.

The house is kitted out to a high specification, and we ask guests politely to treat it respectfully. For example there is a delicate glass chandelier and a glass topped dining table..........this is our home, and not just a rental property.

There is space for up to 4 cars on the front drive, and we now have a warm outdoor shower there if you are coming back from the beach and sandy, or need to rinse off muddy boots.

A FEW THINGS YOU NEED TO BE AWARE OF:

1)
Please be aware that the top bunk beds in bedroom four only have a small safety guard on each bunk and are quite high so young children must not sleep there. The mattresses can be lifted down onto the floor. The bunks are all full sized single beds so can accommodate adults easily. Anyone sleeping in the top bunks do so at their own risk.

There are two, wide open plan concrete stairs with six steps on each with no hand rails.

We have two side outdoor terraces with steps down to the garden with no handrails

There is an unguarded drop to the right of the terrace area outside the kitchen door. (Behind the hot tub).

There is also a road running along one side of the house (although barely visible), but if the doors are open in the bedrooms at night, you can hear passing cars.

6)
We have a Nest front door bell and camera that records who comes to the front door.

Guest access
The whole house, apart from two wardrobes in bedrooms one and two, and one in bedroom three which are for our own use. There is plenty of space to hold your own clothes and belongings during your stay.
